Girl's Derbies: Give your child a taste for beautiful things

Inspired by the derby shoe – the cousin of the Richelieu shoe – children's derbies stand out for their more compact, yet no less elegant, design. A perfect choice for back-to-school, a night at the opera, or a special event (communion, wedding, etc.), these leather shoes, designed for girls as well, have a place in every wardrobe. From size 25 to size 36, there's something for everyone at Jacadi. Which pair of "girl" derbies will you fall for? Discover our collection now!

How to choose a pair of derbies?

Like any girl's shoe, to be truly comfortable, the derby must be chosen in the right size. Is your child still too small to tell you if her toes touch the end of her derbies? Don't panic, we have a little trick for you: try to slide a finger between the back of her foot and the shoe. If you can do it without forcing, the size is perfect. Otherwise, go up a size.
Of course, online, you won't have the opportunity to try before you buy. That's why, for each pair of shoes, Jacadi provides a size guide. This way, you can't go wrong. Simply measure your princess's feet in centimeters (using a foot gauge or a simple tape measure), and refer to the measurement chart.
Were you gifted a pair of girl's derbies that are too small or too large? Don't worry. With Jacadi, you have up to 30 days to return your products and request either an exchange or a refund. You also have the option to visit one of our stores directly.

A multitude of looks to imagine with Jacadi's low-cut shoes

City shoes are no longer reserved for adults only. The derby, a low-cut shoe that is both simple and fundamentally elegant, adapts to all styles, situations, and seasons. So much so that it can be worn with pleasure every day.
In smooth or patent leather, classic lace-up, or revisited with a fringed tongue, like a moccasin, Jacadi's derbies are refined and tasteful. For school, combined with overalls, a pleated skirt, or even slack pants, or to enhance a ceremonial dress, these girl's shoes are multifaceted. In the blink of an eye, your daughter goes from a semi-casual style to an ultra-chic look.
In the low-cut shoes for girls section, Jacadi also offers other iconic models, such as bi-material tennis shoes. A mix of suede and patent leather, they are perfect for a casual look or to complete a slightly more dressed-up outfit. Combined with a short or a skirt, they will make a sensation in the schoolyard.
In addition to derbies and tennis shoes, Jacadi also offers a wide range of girl's shoes suitable for all occasions. Ballerinas, both comfortable and elegant, pair perfectly with a dress or skirt for a feminine and delicate outfit. Whatever style of shoes you are looking for your daughter, Jacadi has the solution for you.

How to maintain leather derbies?

From creation to manufacturing, our teams use recognized know-how to provide your child with the highest quality products and meticulous finishes. Leather is a noble and resistant material that maintains its appearance over time.
However, like any leather shoe, the durability of a pair of derbies requires regular maintenance. This way, you will keep them in the best possible condition for years to come. Once they become too tight for your princess, other little girls in the family can enjoy them in turn.
While suede and patent leather do not require special care – a simple soapy water cleaning is sufficient –, smooth leather is not the same. More sensitive to the elements, you can still protect it by adopting a few good habits.
The care milk will help you maintain the suppleness and beauty of your daughter's derbies while cleaning and protecting them. This product should be used before each polishing (frequency: once a month, at a minimum). Instead of care milk, you can also use beauty cream. It will nourish the leather, revive its colors, and ensure long-lasting shine.
Finally, to complete the polishing step and after each exposure to rain, we recommend applying a protective mist to your daughter's shoes. Find all these maintenance products (and more) in our store or in-store.
